Our friends, the Harters, arrived in Tokyo to visit on Sun., 5/10. On Monday we took a cruise around Tokyo Bay to show them the city. Tokyo even has a Statue of Liberty (much smaller) shown here in front of the Rainbow Bridge.

Tokyo Bay Symphony Cruise with our friends
Our friends, the Harters, arrived in Tokyo to visit on Sun., 5/10. On Monday we took a cruise around Tokyo Bay to show them the city. Tokyo even has a Statue of Liberty (much smaller) shown here in front of the Rainbow Bridge.
Bullet Train to Hiroshima

Visiting Hiroshima was both moving and historical. The city was beautiful. 
Yokohama with our friends
We visited Yokohama which has a beautiful port, had lunch on the pier, and then went to a baseball game featuring the Yokohama BayStars against the Tokyo Giants. We even added a member to our group, a 19 year old stationed in the Navy here.
Boat Ride - Monkey Island
Went on a boat ride in Phuket. Stopped at Monkey Island (not a big fan of monkeys....) They were right there on the beach.
Boat Ride in Phuket
We took a somewhat exciting boat ride in Phuket. Nice and calm on the way out! We went snorkeling, had lunch on an island, and went swimming. The ride back was a little harrowing - life jackets for everyone, cloudy skies, 6 meter waves.....
Elephant Ride in Phuket
We rode elephants in Phuket. It was really bumpy, and our guides were entertaining......Meg and Jac's guide sang to them. Ours dangled a lizard in front of us and then put it in his mouth. (Freaked me out a little.....)
