Daibutsu or "The Great Buddha"

We climbed many steep hills and trails to reach the Daibutsu or "Great Buddha". It was cast in bronze in 1252. It is 37 feet tall and located in a beautiful setting in Kamakura. Meghan and Jaclyn are holding "little Buddha" statues against the backdrop of the "Great Buddha".

    Hi, I've missed you sooooooooo much, do you remember the book report we started before you left, it was the one with the mini- books.     Hi Mrs. O'Hara! Sorry I haven't had time to blog. I was working on some fabulous pieces of writing. I have missed you more than you could ever guess! I hope you're having a wonderful time exploring a whole different culture! I enjoyed the pictures you posted! The dining room is amazing!
